About Us

The Pioneer Inn, in North Central Idaho is on the site of one of the original buildings in the historic gold-rush town of Pierce. Originally built in 1865, the Pioneer Hotel provided the miners with hot meals, warm beds, along with "other" services. The original building was demolished in the early 1900's and the current structure was built, which was also called the Pioneer Hotel.

Pioneer Inn TodaySince inception, the building has changed ownership and names many times. The most popular and memorable for those raised in Pierce is the Key Bar. Most recently, the building was named the Cedar Inn. In January of 2013, the ownership changed again, and was purchased by Shyam & Parveen Bhardwaj. They reestablished the historic significance of the hotel, and renamed it the Pioneer Inn. The hotel was purchased in 2020 by a local partnership consisting of Dan Ebert, Clay & Lily Hosley and is actively being managed by Beth Pratt.

The Pioneer Inn welcomes you to come enjoy our hospitality, whether you are in-town for hunting our big game, enjoying the 100's of miles of ATV trails, skiing at Bald Mountain, camping or hiking in the Clearwater National Forest, fishing at our reservoirs, or just out for a drive along the Gold Rush Scenic Byway Highway 11. There is no place like Pierce, America. Come experience it for yourself.
